{Ashley & Mike @ The Powel Crosley Estate}
Ashley is the sister-in-law of our fabulous photographer, Haley, who got to be a bridesmaid instead of a photographer this time:-) As we approached the driveway to the Powel Crosley Mansion in Sarasota, we felt like we were entering a movie. The gorgeous mansion was built in the 1920s for Powel's wife, Gwendolyn. Now, it sets the stage for many brides to have a gorgeous wedding on the property. Burlap, lace, and many Pinterest inspired details decorated the estate. Ashley's dress was STUNNING! A beautiful crystal beaded bodice with a ball gown style tulle skirt. She looked like a princess when she put it on. The bridesmaids wore long, soft blush dresses. Ashleyβs niece, Bella, who was the flower girl, wore a beautiful lace gown, and was a mini princess. Taylor, Haley's son, looked "dashing" in his fedora and suspenders. He was the bible bearer (The bible was Ashley's Grandfather's and it held Mike's dad's wedding band which was tied to it). To announce, "Here comes the Bride", Ashley's adorable triplet nephews and niece carried a sign. Ashley came down the winding staircase off the back of the mansion to meet her Dad and made her way to a teary eyed Mike. The ceremony was on the back lawn, overlooking the water. Guests enjoyed cocktails under a pavilion on the back lawn while playing corn hole and frisbee. They had drink cozie favors for their guests to take home. The reception was all outside on the back lawn and had tables decorated with burlap and lace and beautiful flowers to match their color scheme of blush and cream. For Ashley and Mike's first dance, her brother, Brad, sang Bless the Broken Road as they danced under the twinkle lights and crystal chandalier. There was a candy table set up inside atop two wine barrels. We *may* have caught the triplets sneaking some treats a few times :) The dancing was AMAZING!!! Ashley's family is Cuban and they sure know how to dance!!! Such an amazing night! Congrats Ashley and Mike! xoxo
