Florida Aquarium Wedding | Ellen & Dan

Ellen and Dan’s day with us started with their first look (what a fun way to kick-off the day for us!). The aquatics-loving duo decided on the Florida Aquarium for their wedding day.  The aquarium has some beautiful outdoor areas, so it was all the garden vibes, despite the location hinting otherwise! 

We love that we were able to take advantage of all of the great outdoor spaces at the Florida Aquarium before the wedding so that we could focus on the unique interior spaces after the ceremony. 

One of the sweetest touches for the ceremony was their “in memory” dedication. Ellen and Dan both lost a brother- they were remembered during the ceremony by saving their seats with a photograph.  Such a bittersweet moment! It can be extremely hard on the wedding day to have loved ones absent- whether through choice or circumstance. But this soothes the soul just a touch. 

Once Ellen made her way down the aisle to Dan, it was time to make things official! The couple wrote their own vows- which were so heartfelt. They tugged at our heartstrings, for sure! Their adorable son, Parker, looked on from the front row (adorable!). 

For the reception, it was all about playing up the Florida Aquarium’s ambiance. Their color palette of Tiffany blue, red and white worked perfectly. Dan is a diver and proposed to her while diving, each of the tables was named after one of their dive spots.

After initial introductions and an emotional first dance, their guests joined them on the dance floor and it was packed for the rest of the night! We had a blast with these two and wish them ALL the best in their union.
