We had the absolute pleasure of photographing sweet Maddie Mae for her 1-year-old lifestyle session at our studio, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out! Maddie’s parents wanted a laid-back, chill vibe that truly captured their little girl’s blossoming personality, and we nailed it with two distinct looks that brought out her eyes and cuteness and a 3rd look that was for nostalgia with her mom’s family.

Look 1: Those Gorgeous Eyes For the first look, we wanted to draw attention to Maddie’s stunning eyes, which are full of curiosity and wonder. We chose a soft and simple setting that highlighted her natural beauty, starting indoors where the lighting perfectly complemented her delicate features. Maddie was all smiles as she played and explored, her eyes sparkling with every little discovery. We then took the session outdoors, where the natural light brought out even more depth in those beautiful eyes. The greenery and soft textures of the outdoor space provided the perfect backdrop, making Maddie’s gaze the star of the show.

Look 2: Casual and Cool in Denim For her second look, Maddie rocked a casual outfit that couldn’t have been cuter—denim and mini Converse! Plus her birthday is around 4th of July so it was perfect. This look was all about capturing Maddie’s playful spirit and the everyday moments that make this age so special. The session was all about having fun and letting Maddie’s personality shine, and that’s exactly what happened.

Look 3: Vintage Kim shared with me a special baby photo of herself wearing a cherished dress that has been passed down through generations of women in her family. To honor this beautiful tradition, we recreated the moment in a timeless black-and-white style. I’m always down to help keep family traditions alive and capture those meaningful connections for the next generation.

This session was such a joy, and we can’t wait to watch Maddie grow and capture more of her milestones in the years to come!
