Nova 535 Bamboo Garden Wedding | Carissa+Anthony

Carissa + Anthony’s wedding was a full day of laughter and joy at Tampa’s amazing Nova 535 venue. The pair chose a Thursday to have their wedding (which we love!). They started the day at Sirata Beach Resort with Carissa receiving the royal treatment from A Cherished Bride beauty services. Anthony and his groomsmen put on their wedding finest in a nearby room. Carissa and Anthony’s best man surprised Anthony when we went down for the ‘first look’ by appearing in one of Carissa’s dresses. See what we mean by ‘day full of laughter’?

Carissa + Anthony are both chiropractors and own a practice together here in Tampa. It was so special for the two of them to recite their vows privately to each other on the beach after Anthony saw Carissa in her gown for the first time.

One of our favorite things is to look at the groom when the bride starts walking up the aisle. The look of love on Anthony’s face as Carissa is walking up with her dad just gives us all the feels! The bamboo covered ceremony space at Nova 535 feels like a private secret garden even though it can still seat 250 guests.

We had a fun portrait session with their family and bridal party there in the courtyard. It’s always great to have bridal parties on board for whatever hijinks we ask them to do. This crowd was no exception!

Carissa + Anthony wanted for their introduction into their reception to flow right into a big party dance with all their guest surrounding them which was so fun and went with their party-loving spirt. DJ Fresh Events then slowed it down for their ‘first dance’ and parent dances.

The food was amazing from Delectable Catering as usual. Can we also chat about the amazing florals from Apple Blossoms Floral Designs? Carissa’s bouquet was stunning and huge! The pair decided to skip the traditional wedding cake because if you’d really prefer donuts at your wedding why not? Carissa + Anthony’s favorite donut shop is Peachy’s Baking Co in Sarasota so instead of a cake they had a donut tower! (So delish by the way, we had to try one!
