Renaissance Tampa International Plaza | Marry Me Tampa Bay Styled Shoot

As a Marry Me Tampa Bay preferred photographer, we were honored they asked us to be a part of this romantic, garden-inspired dusty blue styled shoot! What is a styled shoot you might wonder? The purpose is to get creative and transform a space into something totally unique that couples may never see or be able to envision. So, literally it’s a full wedding setup with models and a group of wedding professionals that team up to make it happen. We’ve done many styled shoots over the years and this is among my favorite because of the style, models, and the team we got to work with. Before doing all the pretty detail shots, I got to work with the sweetest couple, Melissa and Daniel, who are actually engaged and getting married next April! I love this venue because not only is it right in International Plaza, but there are SO many different an amazing spots for photos. In the lobby they have really unique lounge furniture, the hallways have huge windows with beautiful light and there’s several different tiled stairwells all right there in one place.

The venue, Renaissance Tampa, has a traditional ballroom, but they chose to highlight the hotel’s unique and vibrant event space with the help of wedding planner Katy Turchich of Coastal Coordinating. I’m quoting the feature you can see on Marry Me Tampa Bay because I think they described the inspiration and design much better than I could:

“The wedding planner and designer chose a muted color palette of dusty blue, grey, blush, peach, and silver as to not to compete with the boldness of the reception space. To add to the romanticism, decor rental company and florist Gabro Event Services added French country chairs, custom velvet linens, greenery and peach filled florals, and a show-stopping draped sweetheart table.

“My inspiration was to bring a soft, upscale garden look inside and showcase how alternative wedding spaces can be transformed into a romantic feel. I loved how it really softened the room,” Katy beamed.”

Silver accents on the three-tiered wedding cake with marble swirls from Alessi Bakeries perfectly complemented the decor, while small, but impactful details such as the geometric acrylic place cards added a luxurious touch.

The couple dazzled in their attire from Nikki’s Glitz and Glam Bridal Boutique; the bride’s lace Calla Blanche wedding dress featured a plunging neckline and sheer side panels adding a hint of allure. Hair and makeup artists Destiny & Light Hair and Makeup Group chose a smokey eye and half updo to showcase the bride’s flowing long curls.

Bringing the romantic elements to the Renaissance’s outdoor courtyard, Gabro Event Services created a flowing draped arch providing a statement piece for the ceremony backdrop.

“The outside area is the perfect setting for the romantic ceremony. There is a natural breeze that makes you feel like you are at a destination location,” Katy gushed. “The blowing of the draping helped to create the romantic look.

Tampa Bay wedding videographer Resurgent Fire Films captured the flowy breeze and gorgeous Florida day and you can watch the video HERE. “

This team of wedding pros below worked so hard to bring this style to life and I think it turned out better than anyone could have imagined!
