Centro Asturiano de Tampa Wedding | Marlo & Danny
Marlo and Danny, where do I even begin! Our day started off at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay with getting ready photos. The girls had a fabulous bubbly bar and while they sipped mimosas getting hair and makeup we got all the pretty details! Marlo’s uncle got her a special gift for her something blue. Her mom and Aunt got her bridal ready and we did a first look with her bridesmaids and then her dad (both priceless!). There’s this beautiful little spot that’s in the photo above where we had planned first look, Joy got Danny all set and literally as Marlo was walking up to Danny a crazy gust of wind occurred which took her veil climbing up the building to the 3rd or 4th floor of the office building next to the Hyatt! I was freaking out inside and actually didn’t know if we had captured it but we did. Thankfully the awesome staff at the Hyatt was able to get it and Marlo didn’t miss a beat as we re-setup their first look and still got some beautiful photos there and by the greenery wall, which was perfect because it totally went with their reception vibe………
Father Chuck was awesome and officiated their ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. In Catholic ceremonies there is generally a time of giving each other the sign of peace where generally people hug, kiss, etc. It’s a little different now with COVID and one of their guests literally threw up a peace sign and it was so fitting! After the ceremony we went to my favorite spot in Ybor to shoot, the brick and light there is perfect all all points in the day and it’s so Tampa. I love shooting at the Centro Asturiano, the architecture is so cool and the high ceilings and chandaliers in the ballroom add that bit of fancy. Marlo and Danny had a custom neon sign with their last name on their greenery wall and my favorite detail was the late night snack. It was person pizza’s for their guests to enjoy. Let’s talk about the band. C’Nergy literally played and performed the entire time and it was AWESOME!! Whether you were dancing or just watching them, the show they put on was insane and SO much fun. Marlo and Danny, we loved every minute of your wedding and are so honored to have been there!!! xoxoxo
