Alicia and David chose the stunning and newly renovated Skylark Ballroom on the top floor of the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay for their wedding. As a photographer, I adore the open, bright, and airy feel of the space, accentuated by the amazing windows that offer breathtaking views, especially at sunset. One of the highlights for weddings is the seamless flow between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces—Wilson's Plover for the ceremony, Starling for cocktail hour, and the Skylark ballroom, creating a smooth transition.

They selected the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, which is one of favorite wedding venues in the Tampa area because of the acrage, indoor + outdoor options and pretty views! I'm also a sucker for a beautiful ballroom, which Grand Hyatt definitely delivers on!

But, Kevin and Logan’s wedding day was one of those days! They were suppose to get married on the waterfront deck at Oyster Catchers and then have their reception at Armani’s with cocktail hour and sunset outside. The weather had different plans that day, but thankfully the Grand Hyatt has a lot of gorgeous inside locations.

It can be a bummer but as Logan+Kevin proved, if you have an amazing sense of humor and can’t wait to be married to the person next to you, nothing can blemish the magic of your day. Especially if you get married at the lovely Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. The furnishings are so elegant that it feels like a palace. We did schedule after wedding portrait session where Logan+Kevin dressed up in their wedding clothes since we couldn’t get those by the water photos which we can’t wait to share in a future post.
