Some love stories come with a built-in crew — and Emily and Tim's is no exception. When it came time to plan their engagement session, these two didn't hesitate: Captain and Joey were coming along, collars dressed and ready. And honestly? We wouldn't have had it any other way.

We met at the stunning Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum right on the waterfront in St. Petersburg, Florida — one of those locations that feels almost too good to be true. Towering palms, winding brick pathways, lush tropical greenery, and the sparkling blue of Tampa Bay peeking through at every turn. It's the kind of place that makes a photographer's heart sing, and Emily and Tim fit right into it like they belonged there.

Emily looked effortlessly beautiful in a delicate white lace midi dress, and Tim kept it perfectly coastal in a light blue button-down and khakis. From the very first frame, it was clear these two are the kind of couple who are completely at ease together — laughing, leaning in, holding hands like it's second nature. And that ring — a gorgeous deep teal emerald-cut stone flanked by diamonds — so pretty!

Captain, a sweet golden retriever wearing a little seersucker tie, and Joey, a charming pittie mix with a soft pink flower on her collar, brought every ounce of energy and joy to this session. Watching all four of them stroll down those palm-lined paths together, dogs leading the way with tails wagging — that's the kind of moment that reminds me exactly why I love what I do. These pups aren't just pets; they're family. And having them there made this session feel whole.

We wandered through the arboretum's iconic pergola archway, found quiet pockets of dappled light under the palms, and eventually made our way down to the waterfront for just a few.

Emily and Tim are getting married this tomorrow! 5/9/26 at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach, and we are so excited to be their photographer. After spending this afternoon with them, I can tell you with certainty: their wedding day is going to be filled with so much warmth, laughter, and love. I cannot wait.
